If that is all true, how is that being a kind and loving god? Killing people? Hmm, yeah, real sign of forgiveness, huh?

You don't need to apologise for it. I don't necessarily believe that this deaths happened as a result of what these people said but I do believe that they had a huge impact on what happened to them WHEN they all died.

I also want to encourage you with this space, it's fantastic, one of the most evangelical things I have come across on the internet yet. Keep up the good work.

I wanted to encourage you because you seem to cop for a lot of flak.  I pray God blesses your work here.

 

I don't agree with all you say, but I'm a Christian too.  I believe in the case of Marilyn Monroe... that God sent Billy as a last witness to her because her time was almost up... not that her death occurred as a consequence of what she said.

 

I don't believe in coincidence, it does look like life is random... but it just seems that way.  Chaos theory and Einstein would disagree.  Einstein famously claimed that he believed God does not play dice.

 

Jesus is pretty clear in Luke 13:1-9 on why life is so apparently random:

 

1Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. 4Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

    6Then he told this parable: "A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. 7So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years now I've been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?'

    8" 'Sir,' the man replied, 'leave it alone for one more year, and I'll dig around it and fertilize it. 9If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.' "

 

Basically the reason death is not picky in who it chooses is so that we don't take our lives for granted.... so that we get right with god at the earliest opportunity.  Think about it.  If every man knew their own day and hour.... they'd abuse the grace of God by sinning until that final day.  Then they'd disingenuously ask for forgiveness.  Repentace has to be genuine.

 

I pray God defens you from some of the regular attacks tha seem to come your way... and that he grants you wisdom to understand the higher, wider and deeper treasures that are to be found in Him.

Don't be stupid. Not a single one of these deaths has any connection whatsoever with these disasters. I mean, the great John Lennon, for example. His 'bigger than Jesus' comment came in 1966 - he was only shot in 1980, fourteen years later. It's just coincidence. Besides, neither god nor jesus killed any of these people - marilyn monroe and bon scott died of drug misadventures, and lennon was shot by a man called mark david chapman. The titanic was sunk by an iceberg. Just coincidence. COINCIDENCE!!!
